Passkeys

Monday June 6th, 2022 Apple announced the introduction of Passkeys at their WWDC 2022 keynote. Passkeys will replace passwords with biometric authentication when browsing the web on Apple devices.

At OwnID, we’re incorporating/integrating Passkeys technology into our overall platform. OwnID customers will be able to take full advantage of Apple Passkeys once it’s released in September 2022. This means that users who browse on macOS will be able to log in without a QR code.

As an OwnID customer, you will have Apple Passkeys, but improved, and without the implementation headache.
